so many books, so little time

Maus is a book that absorbs you, that you cannot stop reading, that immobilizes you because you want to continue reading. It is one of those books that you want to have afree moment to continue reading ... do you understand me? As Umberto Eco says: "When two of the mice speak of love, they inspire you; when they suffer, you cry."
The beauty of this little story hides a drama that has left me shocked and yet you wantmore. Maus: Tale of a Survivor is a graphic novel completed in 1991 by the American cartoonist Art Spiegelman. It is an alternative comic serialized between 1980 and 1991 in Raw magazine, an avant-garde comic book publication led by Spiegelman and Françoise Mouly.

«The first masterpiece in comic history.»The NewYorker.
MAUS
The first and only Pulitzer Prize awarded to a comic. A fascinating world-renowned graphic novel about the Holocaust. Maus is the biography of Vladek Spiegelman, a Polish Jew who survived the Nazi death camps, told through his son Art, a comic book artist. Art Spiegelman approaches the subject of the Holocaust in an absolutely innovative way. He narrates the experience of his own family graphically, using all the traditional narrative styles and devices and inventing new ones. The radical narrative of this work marked a before and after in the universe of the graphic novel.
